Mardome Trade Access Smoke Vent - AOV

Mardome has created a unique solution for those wanting an AOV smoke vent which also give you the practicality of an access hatch. By moving the actuator to one side, enough space is created to gain access to the roof.

Mardome Trade Smoke Vents are individual polycarbonate dome rooflights intended for installation on flat roofs of all modern building types to provide natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation and comfort ventilation.

Mardome Trade Smoke Vents are designed and manufactured under an ISO9001 approved quality system. These products are fully tested and certified in accordance with EN12101-2 : 2003

  • Design fully tested and certified in accordance with EN12101-2 : 2003.
  • Guaranteed to remain fit for purpose in normal industrial conditions for a period of 10 years
  • Factory fitted 24V electrical actuator opens up to 140 degrees in less than 60 seconds
  • 100mm vertical direct fix kerb (for mounting to 200mm high builders upstand)
  • Achieve Class B non-fragility to ACR[M]001 when installed in accordance with Brett Martin installation guides
  • Achieve Class B-s1,d0 to BS EN 13501: Part 1. Building Regulations state they can therefore be regarded as BROOF(t4)

How do I Install the Mardome Trade Roof Light?

The Mardome Trade Is very easy to install. First, the kerb is screwed down to the deck using suitable fixings. Once the kerb has been weathered, you can continue to attach the dome using the provided self-sealing screws. A full installation guide can be downloaded under the technical data tab

Do Mardome Trade roof lights comply with building regulations?

Mardome Trade roof lights are available in Single, Double and Triple skin. To comply with Part L Building regulation, a triple skin dome must be used.

Will a Polycarbonate Dome roof light make my room cold?

Polycarbonate Dome roof lights are available in Single, Double and Triple skin. To reduce heat loss, we recommend that a triple skin dome be used. This has a U-value of 1.8 W/m2K and complies to building regulations.
