What is EPDM Rubber?

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, or EPDM, is a synthetic rubber that is extremely durable and used across a wide variety of roofing solutions.

EPDM is heat and weather resistant with its two main ingredients derived from natural gas and oil, making it an ideal flat roof material.

Types of EPDM Rubber Membranes

We have four great types of EPDM rubber membranes available to purchase online, all of which are easy to install and long-lasting.

One-Piece System

We offer Classicbond One Piece EPDM Rubber Roofing membrane for flat roofs, green roofs, extensions, garages and warm decks. Among the roofing systems we offer, our one-piece system is the easiest to install.

Self Adhesive System

We also offer a Self Adhesive EPDM Rubber membrane. This is the recommended roofing system for complicated, flat rubber roofs, as well as in extensions, gutter linings, roof gardens, balconies, and overlays of existing flat roofs.

Skyguard

Our Skyguard Rubber membrane is your best choice if you want the most cost-effective EPDM flat roofing system.

This is a great flat roofing option in areas that don‘t have to comply with building regulations, making it perfect for sheds, outbuildings, tree houses, garden studios, and shepherd huts.

ClassicBond Pro EPDM Rubber Roofing

Fleece-reinforced, high performance and reduced shrinkage, ClassicBond Pro is an ideal solution for large roofs where shrinkage could cause an issue.

The Benefits of EPDM Rubber

Suitable for every type of flat roof, EPDM rubber has a “fit and forget it” ability, amongst other benefits listed below.

Environmentally Friendly

We use eco-friendly rubber roofing supplies and materials which are all applied with low energy to ensure they are more environmentally friendly than our competitors.

EPDM is the recommended sustainable eco-sound roofing by both the Government and the International Kyoto Ecology Agreement.

Durable

EPDM membranes are permanently flexible and have a life expectancy of over 50 years.

The first EPDM flat roofing systems were installed in the 60s and are still protecting their buildings to this day.

Attractive Appearance

One of the reasons why we love EPDM rubber is the fact that it does not support the growth of moss, unlike traditional felt systems.

This makes EPDM a great option for keeping your rubber roof looking newer for longer with zero maintenance.

Sustainable

EPDM rubber roofing materials are highly sustainable which is essential in today’s climate where there is increased pressure from environmentalists and regulatory organisations for buildings to be made from sustainable materials.
